- Uninstall McAfee
- Delete the following folders. Note that the third one is for Windows XP, you can look for the equivalent folder under C:\Users on Vista.
C:\Program Files\McAfee
C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\McAfee - Reboot the computer.
- Install McAfee again.
