Red Hat Enterprise Linux Registration Problem

We started to install the Red Hat Enterprise Linux on some of our machines. One problem we had early on is the registration. We followed these instructions, but got network errors on two machines.

After trying out different options, the workaround I found is to use http instead of https. For example, if you are prompted to enter the server url, instead of using https://satellite.example.com/XMLRPC, use http://satellite.example.com/XMLRPC . Note that the password you enter will be transmitted as clear text. You might want to find out other workaround if your network is not secure.
