The LTX series is designed as a multimodal generative system capable of producing video and audio together from prompts. Earlier versions of the model already demonstrated the ability to generate cinematic clips with motion, camera movement, and synchronized sound. With LTX-2.3, the developers focus on improving prompt understanding and visual consistency, helping the model better follow instructions related to actions, expressions, and timing.
One of the major technical improvements in LTX-2.3 is an updated VAE architecture, which helps produce sharper details and cleaner textures in generated frames. The update also includes improvements to the text attention system so the model can interpret prompts more accurately, particularly for describing motion or scene changes.
Another notable addition is native portrait video support. Instead of generating landscape video and cropping it later, LTX-2.3 can generate vertical video directly. This is especially useful for modern content formats such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
By releasing LTX-2.3 openly on Hugging Face, Lightricks continues to support an ecosystem where developers and creators can experiment with AI video generation locally or integrate it into their own workflows. The release makes it easier for researchers, hobbyists, and content creators to test new approaches to generative video without relying solely on closed commercial systems.
As AI video technology continues to evolve rapidly, open models like LTX-2.3 provide an important platform for experimentation and innovation in the growing field of generative media.
