Windows 7: How to Uninstall a Device

To uninstall a device, do the following steps:

  1. Log on the computer using an admin account.
  2. Click on the Windows icon and type device manager.
  3. Click on Device Manager under Control Panel.
  4. Expand the categories and look for the device you want to uninstall.
    w7-uninstall
  5. Right click on the device and select Uninstall.
  6. Reboot the machine and you can try to re-install the device driver.
