One user reported that a file cannot be deleted under Windows 2003. The error message is “Cannot delete File: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.”
We tried to reboot the machine and make sure no program is accessing the file. It didn’t work. I also tried several suggestions from Google search. None worked.
Finally, I found this handy utility, Unlocker . The installation is simple and you don’t have to reboot the machine. I was able to delete the annoying file without any trouble.
