iPhone 3G: Simple Way to Enter Recovery Mode

When I used the Pwnage Tool to jailbreak my iPhone, there is a method to enter Recovery Mode. It involves with several steps and correct timing for pushing the right button at the right time. I found a quicker and simpler way. Here are the steps.

  1. Press and hold the sleep button for a few seconds. Slide the red button to turn it off.
  2. Hold the home button and connect your iPhone to the computer with iTunes running.

That’s it.

If your iTunes is not the latest version, update it first. Then, connect your iPhone in recovery mode to the computer with iTunes open and see if you can restore your iPhone.
